ASEAN coronavirus updates as of Sunday 7am, September 13 as global infections inch towards 29 million


The coronavirus COVID-19 is affecting 213 countries and territories around the world and 2 international conveyances.

Here we provide updated information on cases in Asean, comprising new cases, total cases, new deaths and total deaths. Two Asean countries have cases exceeding 200,000 and deaths exceeding 4,000 and 8,000.

Brunei

Brunei had 0 new cases, has a total of 145 with three deaths.

Cambodia

There has been no new positive case of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Cambodia for already a week, the tally thus remains at 274. No deaths. Total recovered at 272.

Indonesia

The country reported +3,806 new infections, taking the totals to 214,746 infections with +106 new deaths, bringing total to 8,650 deaths.

Laos

No new cases recorded, total at 22. No deaths.

Malaysia

The country reported +59 new cases, taking the total to 9,868 with no new death, total remains at 128.

Myanmar

Myanmar reported +272 new cases, taking total to 2, 422 and no new death, total remains at 14.

Philippines

The Philippines recorded +4,935 new cases, bringing the totals to 257,863 cases, with +186 new deaths, bringing total to 4,292 deaths.

Singapore

Reported +42 new cases, taking the total to 57,357 and 27 deaths.

Thailand

Reported +5 new case, total at 3,466and 58 deaths.

Vietnam

Vietnam’s Ministry of Health had 0 new cases and a total of 1,060 cases of COVID-19, no new death, total remains at 35.
